Deoxycholic acid injection administration is contraindicated and must not be performed in the following settings:

Individuals with known hypersensitivity to any of its components or ingredients.

Any patient who is or thinks she is pregnant or is a nursing woman.

Deoxycholic acid injections in the presence of infection at the injection sites.

A person with marginal mandibular nerve injury.

A person with dysphagia (difficulty swallowing).
