Dermal Filler helps to restore your natural youthfulness and fullness. Fillers are injectable hyaluronic acid that provides fullness to lips, enhances cheek volume, smooths out lines and contours the face. Fillers help draw moisture to the tissue by plumping and easing out wrinkles in the skin. Treatment plans are tailored to your individual needs, to help create balance, proportion and overall facial harmony.
As we age we start to loose collagen, as this decreases we loose volume in our face. Dermal fillers help restore the loss, create balance and harmony in the face. You may choose to get dermal fillers to help with facial symmetry, plump lips, add volume to cheeks and smooth out wrinkles in your face. At The Aesthetics Lab, we will discuss with you the benefit and risks of dermal fillers, helping to ensure you make an informed decision about which filler is best for your needs and desired results.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA), this is a substance that is already found in the body. It is what keeps your skin hydrated and gives volume. As we age our body stops making HA. Results from these injections can last anywhere from 6 months plus depending on the type of filler, location injected and amount used.
Fillers are injected with either a fine needle or a cannula.
Needles have a sharp tip, and generally has more precision and is most commonly used for the lips.
Cannulas are a long and flexible blunt tip tube. It is dull and cannot puncture the skin on its own. This can generally be used to treat the cheek, temple, under eye, nasolabial folds and jawline.
After your consult the injection technique is dependent on safety, location of treatment and preference for the treated areas.
